Capital markets are regaining momentum while asset owners and investors look to address the emerging opportunities regionally and globally.
ESG and Sustainability are dominant themes underpinning capital markets, investors and businesses; these issues have been heightened during the pandemic and their implications are wide and far reaching.

Prior to joining Government Pension Fund (Thailand) or GPF, Dr. Srikanya spent more than 10 years studying and working in Japan and the United Kingdom. She joined GPF in 2010 and was appointed Secretary General in 2020.
Dr. Srikanya is at the forefront of responsible investing in Thailand. She introduced her vision that GPF should become the leader in ESG investing and initiatives in Thailand in 2019. Her successes include integrating PRI’s ESG integration framework and OECD’s responsible business conduct into GPF’s investment process. She has also headed development of ESG valuation framework, formula and methodology – the project that got technical assistance from the World Bank.
Moving GPF ahead towards SDG, she has initiated the revision of Strategic Asset Allocation of GPF to include both an investment paradigm shift and SDG compliance. Her current project, through cooperation with UN Financial Initiatives, is developing the Human Rights heatmap and common Human Rights integration framework for the Thai capital market.
Arsa has served as a CIO at GPF since 2020. He supervises teams in managing Asian and Thai equities, domestic fixed income, credits as well as currency management. Beside his role as Asset allocation committee where he advises and lays out tactical / overlay strategies, he is a main portfolio manager of global government bonds.
Arsa joined GPF from TMB Bank where he managed banking book and liquidity in THB and foreign currencies. His experiences have been in Global markets and Fund management with Standard Chartered Bank (Thai), Citibank and Krungsri Asset Management.
He earned an MBA from University of California Berkeley and Master’s degree in Mechanical engineering from University of Southern California.

In 1991, he started working for PEA as an Engineer.
From 1991 to 2016, as an Engineer, his responsibilities included inspecting the design of power stations, engineering and testing services, Information business development, planning Information and communication systems including telecommunication management.
In 2016, he was appointed to Expert Level 13 of Electricity Authority Region 3, a position he has held till now.

In addition to his engineering background, he is also well versed in finance and investment. In recognition, he was appointed by the Governor of the Provincial Electricity Authority to be on the Employer (PEA) Fund Committee in 2019.

TEPPARAT WONGCHAROENWANAKIJ is currently the Head of Investment Risk Management and Compliance Unit at the Social Security Office. He oversees the investment risk management and compliance policy of the Investment Management Division of the Social Security Office, which manages asset for 2 funds including the Social Security Fund (total asset size THB 2.2 Trillion) and the Workmen Compensation Fund (total asset size THB 72,000 million).
Tepparat has served the Investment Management Division at the SSO for over 7 years in several capabilities, most recently as the Head of Foreign Investment and External Manager Team where he managed and oversaw the management of global fixed income and global equity portfolios through ETFs, mutual funds, FX spot, swap, forward, as well as led a team in monitoring and reviewing performance and strategy of existing external managers in various asset classes including Global Fixed Income, Thai Equity, and Thai Fixed Income for SSO and also successfully carrying out the manager selection and hiring process for one of the largest domestic private fund mandates in Thailand’s history in 2019.
Before joining SSO, he was in the Public Service Executive Development (PSED) Program at the Office of the Prime Minister during 2012-2014, and also worked as an economist at the Public Debt Management Office (PDMO), Ministry of Finance Thailand during 2010-2012 where his work as a team focused mainly on developing the Annual Government Funding Plan to finance budget deficits, refinance matured debt, and support the development of the Domestic Bond Market, as well as on analyzing and upgrading the Primary Dealer system in Thailand.
Tepparat was awarded scholarship from the Royal Thai Government to study in the United States where he obtained his M.Sc. in Financial Engineering (Beta Gamma Sigma Honors) from the Drucker School of Management, Claremont Graduate University in Claremont, CA, and a B.Sc. in Materials Engineering from Brown University in Providence, RI. He passed all three levels of the CFA exams as well as Thailand’s fund manager license exam, and have become CFA Charterholder since 2017.
Dr. Somjin Sornpaisarn is currently President of The Thai Bond Market Association (ThaiBMA). ThaiBMA main missions include being an Information Center for Thai bond market and a SRO (Self Regulatory Organization) working with member banks and securities companies to ensure a fair and efficient bond market.
He used to be the CEO of TMB Asset Management and ONE Asset Management and the Chairman of Association of Investment Management Companies (AIMC) and an Independent Director of TFEX (Thailand Futures Exchange.)
Dr. Somjin got his B. Engineering from Chulalongkorn University, MBA from Thammasat University, MS. in Japanese Business Studies from Chaminade University of Honolulu with Jujitsu Asian Scholarship, and DBA in Finance from the Joint Doctoral Program of Thammasat University, Chulalongkorn University, and NIDA.
Dr.Pisit went to study at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands with the Bank of Thailand’s scholarship. Apart from working at Bank of Thailand, he later worked at the IMF in Washington D.C., Bangkok Bank and TT&T. He has helped created the Provident Fund Association and served as President for 2 decades.
Dr. Pisit served H.E. Chuan Leekpai as Deputy Minister of Finance after the outbreak of financial crisis in 1997. He also served as Dean of Faculty of Economics, Chiangmai University.
Mr. Mathee Supapongse has been the Deputy Governor of Bank of Thailand, in charge of monetary stability since 2015. He also currently serves on the Bank of Thailand Board, the Monetary Policy Committee, and the Financial Institutions Policy Committee.
Mr. Mathee joined the Bank of Thailand in 1985 and had extensive experience from various positions in International, Monetary Policy, and Economic Research Departments up until 2005. Since then, he assumed directorship of several key departments: Domestic Economy Department, Monetary Policy Department and Risk Management Department, prior to his appointment as Assistant Governor for the Monetary Policy Group in 2014.
Mrs. Wiriyanupong has been working as an economist at Fiscal Policy Office (FPO), Ministry of Finance, since 2003. At the FPO, she has 10-year experience serving as a policy maker on national pension system and retirement savings. Prior to that, she spent 9 years responsible for financial system policy and international economic affairs.
Mrs. Wiriyanupong received her bachelor of arts in finance and banking from Thammasat University. She received her master of arts in economics from Chulalongkorn University and master of sciences in public management and policy from Erasmus University.
Mrs. Waratchya’s current roles include policy making and overseeing intermediaries and asset management businesses in securities market as well as registrar of provident fund.
Her extensive experience with the SEC over the past 30 years includes securities offering, mergers and acquisition, corporate governance, supervision of intermediaries, enforcement, investor education and internal management. Prior to joining the SEC, she worked at the Bank of Thailand and the Bangkok branch of Chase Manhattan bank.
Mrs. Waratchya received her MBA from Kellogg School, Northwestern University, USA, and Bachelor of Accounting (first class honour) from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.
Kasin joined Mercer’s Wealth Business in Thailand in April 2017 as a signing actuary and has since led the team’s development into a provider of integrated retirement and investment solutions. He has extensive experience in pension benefits and governance, pension and policy liability valuation, SAA, ALM, capital and solvency modeling and non-life insurance. He is also involved in various transformation and M&A projects for Thai / multi-national clients, most recently leading the management of a $2.9B deal of post-M&A organizational and career consulting work. He was also heavily involved in the closing of Thailand’s inaugural outsourced chief investment officer mandate and spearheaded the launch of Mercer FundWatch in Thailand.
Kasin holds a Master of Statistics degree (with honors) and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Virginia. He is a fellow member of the Casualty Society Actuaries (FCAS), an executive board/treasury for and a fellow member of the Society of Actuaries of Thailand (FSAT), and was previously a board member of Asia Region Casualty Actuaries. He speaks English and Thai.
Win has over 20 years of professional experience in Investment Management. He is currently EVP - Head of High Net-Worth Division, Bank of Ayudhya PCL. His division is responsible for developing HNW segment strategies, building relationship and providing customized services for over 100,000 HNW clients, as well as collaborating among Krungsri Group to enhance investment advice and recommend asset allocation for clients.
Prior to this, Win was Chief Investment Officer of Principal Asset Management. He led a team of 20 to win the prestigious Best Fund House – Domestic Fixed Income Award by Morningstar Thailand for 4 consecutive years. Before that, he was Head of Investments and Deputy Spokesperson of the Social Security Office, Thailand's largest institutional investor with total AUM of US$38 billion.
Win holds a BA in Economics (International Program) from Thammasat University in Bangkok and an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, Netherlands. His MBA study was sponsored by the Royal Thai Government Scholarship. Win is a CFA Charterholder and is currently President of CFA Society Thailand.
During the weekends, Win teaches finance courses at Thammasat University, National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), and Assumption University in Bangkok. He was awarded an Outstanding Civil Servant in 2006 and a Rising Star Economist in 2014. He authored 3 books; ‘Invest Like A Pro’, ‘Career in Finance’ and ‘Career in Finance: Revised Edition’.

Triphon Phumiwasana, Ph.D. is the Private Banking Business Head at Kasikorn Bank. Prior to joining Kasikorn Bank, Triphon was the Chief Executive Officer of Maybank Asset Management (Thailand), where he also took the responsibility of country CIO and the regional head of product. Triphon also had extensive experience in investment management when he was the Director of Foreign Investment and External Fund Management at the Thai Government Pension Fund (GPF). At GPF, he was responsible for global investment and asset allocation as well as external fund management with the fund under management of 4 billion USD. He was the leader in transforming the foreign investment platform to enhance the efficiency and prepare for further foreign investment expansion. Prior to joining GPF, Triphon is the senior economist at the Milken Institute, the global capital market think tank, where he published several research and co-authored The Rise and Fall of U.S. Mortgage and Credit Markets, 2009. He received his Ph.D. in economic with concentration in international finance from Claremont Graduate University.

Dr. Wiput Phoolcharoen is a professional researcher who experts in the field of Public Health, Strategic Management and Public Policy. His work has been mostly focusing on the HIV/AID policy, Health Impact Assessment (HIA), and Health System Strengthening and Development. The importance research project and program that has been supervised by Dr.Wiput in the last few years; such as the Technical Advisory program on HIV/AIDS Prevention and Health Promotion for the Global Fund Against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria; Review the National Program for the Kingdom of Bhutan to support the Health Impact Assessment (HIA) as integrated program into Bhutan's Gross National Happiness Index, and Strategic Public Health Research Development for Health System Research Institute (HSRI).
In addition, Dr.Wiput Phoolcharoen had been in the Ministry of Public Health to serve as positions which were critical role for policy implementations such as : Director of Epidemiology Division, Director of AIDS Division, and Director of Health System Research Institute.
